Boys to Japan

Japan isn’t the most common surfing destination in our minds. Instead we all know Japan has good waves and an amazing culture. Despite the Fukushima disaster, once again, Japan people have worked hard and rebuild specially what was damaged specially inside their soul.

This year, Japan was picked as the stage of the ISA Surf World Championship, so surfers from all over the world booked their trip there, organized in team. We had a lot of friends involved in the competition as Angelo Bonomelli and Andy Criere but as well living legends as Gony Zubizarreta and our brother Ramon Taliani.

You can easily find the competition report elsewhere, we want just to mention that the guys had a lot of fun, Angelo got the highest scored wave in the contest with a 9.93 (come on.. a 10 was deserved), Andy and Angelo had 2 heats together, Ramon turned into Wolverine and Gony finished 6th in the final ranking.

What else can be said… we were jealous of you guys, but that’s life, so we got a lot of donuts and now we got a couple of pounds more to charge bigger waves… maybe not 😉
